Jurmo vandrarhem

Jurmo is a charming small island in Åland, in the north eastern part of the Brändö archipelago. From the mainland, you can get to Jurmo in just half an hour, using the frequent ferry service. There is also a regular ferry connection between Jurmo and the main island of Åland, and the journey takes you through the beautiful scenery of the archipelago. You will find the ferry timetables at www.alandstrafiken.ax. Jurmo guest harbour is just 150 metres (165 yards) from the hostel.

Jurmo vandrarhem is located in an old school building, with magnificent sea views. The hostel is open from June to August, at other times by appointment only. There are rooms for 2-6 people, altogether 16 beds. The communal areas include self-catering kitchen and a lounge. Breakfast and other meals are available when booked in advance. The building next door has a cafe and a village shop.

Exploring the island is easy as you can either borrow one of the hostel bicycles or hire a canoe. On the island of Jurmo you can also see charming long-haired highland cows.
