Kesähotelli Malakias

Malakias is easily accessible, yet quietly situated ca. 2 kilometres away from central Savonlinna. In winter Malakias is a student residence hall. The apartments have a bedroom, ensuite facilities and kitchenette (without crockery).

The hostel is located in Oravi, a charming village by the canal, surrounded by exceptionally beautiful lake views. Oravi is an ideal spot for trips on the lakes. The Linnansaari National Park is right next to Oravi and the Kolovesi National Park just 20 kilometres (12.5 miles) away. In the wilderness, between the two National Parks, lies the lake Joutenvesi with its maze-like archipelago.

Savonlinna Christian college is situated only 6 km from the center of the city of Savonlinna with regular local bus connections. The college offers services for organisers or group excursion as well as travellers. Accommodation for 100 persons, catering services, facilities for training and activities, conference rooms, audio-visual equipment, teaching equipment for music, recording studio, swimming facilities and sauna by lake, large green areas.

Linnansaari huts

Linnansaari National Park in the middle of Lake Haukivesi, a part of greater Saimaa Lake complex, represents Finnish lakeland at its best. With its hundreds of islands and broad open waters it is a paradise for boaters. The main island, Linnansaari, has marked hiking trails with many interesting sights. On Linnansaari Island, at Sammakkoniemi camping, there are 5 huts, a small cafeteria, campfire places, cooking shelter, sauna, well and dry toilets. There is no electricity on the island.
