Hostel Turku

Friendly hostel with 23 rooms/100 beds ! Located in the peaceful area near the city center by the river Aura. Easy to reach from the airport and the harbor with the direct bus connection. There are 23 non smoking rooms with 2,4 and 6 beds in the hostel. Beds are wooden bunk beds with mattresses, pillows and blankets.Bed linen is included in your bed price. Sleeping bags are not allowed. All the 4-2 bedded rooms are provided with a refrigerator. In the dormitory rooms there is for each quest a locker, which can be locked with a padlock (bring your own or buy one at the reception). There are two self service kitchens in our hostel, free internet, laundry facilities with a tumble dryer and a separate drying room. Served breakfast is also available. Showers and toilets are located in corridors for men and women separately and also disabled have been taken into account. No pets allowed. We sell TurkuCards at the hostel reception. TurkuCard gives you many substantial benefits, including free entry to many sights, museums and other discounts. You also get to travel free on local traffic buses. We have also Hostelling International Cards for sale. You may also rent a bicycle from the reception. We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard and Maestro.

Linnasmäki

Would you like to stay in a peaceful hostel, surrounded by beautiful nature and history, just 4 kilometres (2.5 miles) from the city centre? Linnasmäki offers all this and also a great setting for socialising in its sunny inner courtyard, sauna and swimming pool. Turku is known as a wonderful summer city and in 2011 it is also the European Capital of Culture. Good transport connections from the hostel to the city centre make moving around very easy. For guests with cars we have a large free car park that is monitored by cameras. The location of Linnasmäki is perfect for also those heading to the Moomin World. JukuPark water park is not far, either. In our hostel you can stay in either twin rooms or family rooms that have a kitchen. All our rooms have a toilet and a shower, while our communal areas include a sauna and a swimming pool, both free for our guests. On every floor, there is also a kitchen and a lounge where guests can cook and relax. Our inner courtyard affords a perfect place for a barbeque and sunbathing. Those keen on exercise can have a workout in the gym or a run on the path which starts right next to the hostel. Here you can hire a bike and cycle along the beautiful riverside to the centre or go on a longer trip to the lovely island of Ruissalo. In the library you can read newspapers and surf on the net free of charge. WiFi is available for a small fee. Our restaurant includes a cafe/kiosk and breakfast is served daily. On weekdays you can enjoy a tasty lunch. For groups we have meeting rooms and meals are available on request.

Hostel Borea

Have a good night sleep aboard s/s Bore! The former steamship is now permanently anchored on the banks of the River Aura, situated in front of Forum Marinum Maritime Centre and within walking distance from Turku harbor and Turku castle. There is also a direct bus connection (bus number 1, bus stop Forum Marinum) from Turku airport. Free parking area for cars and coaches is provided for the guests. Walk through the parking area towards the old crane on the river bank, then turn to the right and follow the fenced passage to the Bore ship. At the hostel there are 43 cabins (singles, twins, triples and quads) with own toilet and shower. The bed linen, towel and buffet breakfast is included as well as morning sauna. In the hostel lounge our guests will find TV, daily newspapers, small library, kitchenette and baggage room. Free wireless internet access. At the reception we sell tickets to the Bore museum exhibition aboard as well as TurkuCards and HI-membership cards. On the Bore-ship there is also cafeteria, lunch restaurant and the Baltic hall where banquets, meetings and concerts are being arranged. Welcome to Turku!
