Hostel Ahopää

Fell Centre Kiilopää is the gateway to Urho Kekkonen National Park. Fell Centre offers cozy accommodation, tasty food, guided skiing, snowshoeing and hiking trips. Unforgettable moments can be experienced by swimming in an arctic fell stream and bathing in a genuine smoke sauna. During high tourist season guided skiing and snowshoeing tours are free for guests staying in Fell Centre Kiilopää. Guided tours are arranged from Sunday to Friday from the beginning of February to early May and during the height of the autumn season. Kiilopää is an ideal place for people who enjoy arctic nature, outdoor activities and stillness. Skiing tracks (about 190 kilometres) and hiking trails start from the courtyard. Kiilopää area provides the change to experience the real Lapland! In youth hostel Ahopää there are 5 rooms for 4 persons, 2 for 6 persons and 2 for two persons. Rooms are with bunkbeds, toilets on the corridor. There is common kitchen and drying cabinets in the same building. Linen and towels, sauna in the evenings and final cleaning are included to the accommodation price. All the rooms are smoke free.

An idyllic, central location near by lake Pöyliöjärvi. The hostel has a sandy swimming beach of its own. Trout and salmon fishing. Boat, canoe and pedal boat rental. Berry and mushroom picking and hunting grounds close by.

Matkatupa

Matkatupa is situated by the southern shore of Lake Kemijärvi. Good swimming beach, fishing grounds and cloudberry bogs nearby. Fishing licenses are available at the hostel. Free use of boat for our guests. The area is also well suitable for caravanners. State hunting grounds nearby. If necessary, the guests will be called for at Kemijärvi railway or bus station.

Kuusamon Portti

The whole year we offer you a hostel accommodation for all ages on the border of Lapland. If you love nature, long or short walking or go skiing in the snow, there is enough to do in the area of Kuusamo-Ruka. The accomodation exist a typical Scandinavian log building and gives a warm feeling. The camping site, restaurant and a comfortable hotel offers you a pleasant place to stay in the north.
