Hostel Suomenlinna

Hostel is situated on an islands of Suomenlinna. Suomelinna, the 250-year-old fortress, which has been preserved intact because of its military use, is today part of the world heritage. In 1991 it was included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Hostel is located on Suomenlinna Island Fortress, on Iso Mustasaari, near Rantakasarmi Jetty barracks and the ferry harbour (main quay). HKL-passenger ferry connection from the Market Place all year round to Iso Mustasaari, takes approx. 15 min. In Summertime also water bus connection from Helsinki, Marker Place to Susisaari.Together 40 bedplaces in rooms for 2-10 persons. Cafe, common room, self catering kitchen. Toilets and showers in the corridor. On the second floor 10 bedplaces (rooms for 2-3 persons). On the first floor 30 bedplaces (rooms for 6-10 persons). Cafe; and common room on the first floor. Jurmo vandrarhem

The youth hostel is located in the old school building, close to the marina. There are four rooms with 16 beds all together. Kitchen facilities. Camping is possible on the school yard. Retkeilymaja Godby

Godby Vandrarhem is situated in the countryside, in a former school. Godby is a small village with all the basic services. Hostel is situated close to a sports centre and public swimming pool.

Majatalo Kotipuro

Majatalo Kotipuro is situated in Kerma, 6 kilometres away from the town centre of Heinävesi. The farm grows strawberries. Approximately 600 metres to a beach, which is by the Heinävesi water route. You can use our lakeside sauna, lean-to and campfire, and rental boat for 12 persons. In winter skiing and snow mobile driving routes close by.

Ukonlinna

Hostel Ukonlinna is a nice and friendly youth hostel located in Imatra, in South Karelia. Hostel is owned by a local sport club and its old wooden building has its own atmosphere from the past. Hostel is situated approximately 7 km from the town centre and 4 km from the bus and railway station. Imatra Spa hotel is in a walking distance. Hostel location right next to the beautiful lake Saimaa gives a peaceful and restful feeling. There are great opportunities for free time activities too; swimming at the summer time or cross country skiing at the winter time. You can also go trekking in the forest or go fishing on the lake. Hostel Ukonlinna is open all year round. There are a kitchen and a TV-room for customers use as well as availability for the sauna. Vaihelan Tila is a all-year-round farm holiday home. In addition to the hostel building, there are cottages and outbuildings and lakeside smoke sauna. A nice setting for small meetings and training days. Meal service by reservation. The farm has a homestead museum, too.

Laajavuoren retkeilymaja

Laajavuoren retkeilymaja is situated 4 kilometres from the centre of Jyväskylä. You will get easily to the hostel by bus number 25 from the centre. In the hostel there are 79 bed places and two self service customers kitchens. Evening sauna is also included in the room price. Hostel cafeteria is open every day. Laajari is surrounded with beautiful nature, where you can enjoy winter sports. There are 6 slopes for down hill skiing and trails of different lengths for cross country skiing. Summertime you can walk in the forest or swim in the lake nearby.

Hostel Kemijärvi

An idyllic, central location near by lake Pöyliöjärvi. The hostel has a sandy swimming beach of its own. Trout and salmon fishing. Boat, canoe and pedal boat rental. Berry and mushroom picking and hunting grounds close by.

Matkatupa

Matkatupa is situated by the southern shore of Lake Kemijärvi. Good swimming beach, fishing grounds and cloudberry bogs nearby. Fishing licenses are available at the hostel. Free use of boat for our guests. The area is also well suitable for caravanners. State hunting grounds nearby. If necessary, the guests will be called for at Kemijärvi railway or bus station.

Majatalo Tankar Inn

The lighthouse island of Tankar is a tiny island, about 1 km x 0,5 km. It is situated in the outer archipelago, about 17 km from Kokkola. The landmark of the isle is the 27 m high lighthouse from 1889. It is still in use. There is a nature trail around the island. You can free visit the old fischermen´s church from 1754 and the Seal hunting museum. Cafe Tankar is fully licensed summer restaurant, where you get f.ex. delicious fish soup. The hostel Tankar Inn has 5 double rooms, a modern kitchen, shower and toilet to use. The historic lighhouse keepers houses can accommodate further 40 visitors. To Tankar there are 2-3 daily connections from Kokkola camping onboard m/s Jenny (177 passangers) and m/s Jaana (80 passangers. The voyage Kokkola-Tankar is 1 h 30 min. Accommodation on Tankar and the voyage you can book from Kokkolan Matkailu Oy (Kokkola City tourist office) on the Kokkola market square.
