lläs is a versatile year-round travel destination, especially for active enthusiasts. The stunning cross-country skiing tracks, slopes, cycling trails, snowmobiling opportunities, as well as fishing and hiking in the authentic wilderness, beckon for movement across its seven fells! Ylläs offers a variety of hiking, walking, and mountain biking trails of various lengths and challenges to suit every taste.

Kuerkievari KuerHostel is a hotel and hostel in Ylläs. This flexible family-owned company provides affordable accommodation year-round in Äkäslompolo, right by the side of Kuertunturi Fell. The village center is a few kilometers away, and the ski resort is 6 km away. The SkiBus stops about 500 m away. Good connections to Äkäslompolo are available from Kolari railway station and Kittilä airport. The ski trail passes through the yard, and you can access Kuertunturi Fell directly from the doorstep as well.

Guests can stay in female, male, or mixed dormitories, and it’s also possible to book a private room. Shared showers and toilets are located in the corridors, as well as Köökki, the communal kitchen for hostel guests. Accommodation includes bed linen, a towel, and an evening sauna. On the hotel side, accommodation is available in double rooms with private bathrooms.

You can stay with us for just one night or an extended period, and explore the nearby fells. At KuerTupa, we serve breakfast and, with advance booking, also offer lunch and dinner. In the guests’ own Köökki at KuerHostel, you’ll find plenty of fridge space, cabinets for storing groceries, coffee and water kettles, hotplates, and a microwave.
