Scouts’ Hostel – Partiotalo, located close to the centre of Joensuu, is an excellent choice when you’re looking for affordable and convenient accommodation. At the hostel, you stay in your own simple room, and guests have access to a shared kitchen. It’s two kilometers to the market square, 700 meters to the nearest shop, parking is free, and the proceeds support local Scouting activities. Partiotalo – Scouts’ Hostel operates with the help of volunteers

Partiotalo – Scouts’ Hostel offers affordable accommodation at the mouth of the Pielisjoki River, in a peaceful residential area close to Joensuu city centre. The railway station is a couple of kilometers away, and you can walk from the market square to the hostel in about 20 minutes.

You can stay in rooms for 1-4 people. Guests have access to free Wi-Fi, a self-service kitchen, and a lounge area. A grocery store is just a few hundred meters away. Bed linen can be provided for an additional fee (6 € for a linen set and 2 € for a towel).

Our accommodation services are run by volunteer Scouts, so hostel attendants are present as needed. The standard check-in time is between 16:00 and 21:00, but check-in outside these hours is possible for an extra fee of 15 €. All proceeds from the accommodation are used in full to support local Scouting activities.

For those arriving by car, free parking with heating posts is available. Bicycles can be rented on-site, and cross-country ski trails start just 100 meters from the hostel.

Our hostel also provides simple, basic accommodation for long-term stays. Discounts are available for extended bookings.

We also accommodate large groups. Although we do not offer restaurant services, groups have access to a kitchen. If a group books the entire hostel for their use, the dining hall beds and extra beds can also be made available. We can accommodate a maximum of 50 people. Group accommodation is priced differently and more affordably than individual stays.
